One of the most surprising things I’ve discovered since I began pouring my heart and soul into creating my business is that as I evolve—my business evolves with me.
When I learn new skills, experience personal growth, and gain clarity around what success looks like to me, my business reflects these changes, and organically grows and develops right along with me.
The cool thing is, I’m not alone in this type of evolution. I’ve seen the same thing happen with my clients, my fellow solopreneurs, and my entrepreneur friends.
It turns out, as you discover more about yourself, developing personally, and becoming more self-aware, you step into your truth and live more authentically. When you do this, your business reflects this authenticity, shifting to reflect the work you have put into yourself and growing and developing in tandem.
Similarly, as your business grows and you better understand the needs of your clients—you are pushed to grow and to fulfill those needs to the best of your ability. Often this means stepping outside your comfort zone and stepping up to own the value you have to offer the world.
To really up-level your business, to make it the best as possible, you actually not only need this organic evolution but also to strategically evolve in alignment. Having the self-awareness to know where you are, what your strengths are, and how you can best serve your business and taking into consideration where your business is currently and where you would like it to go.
A strategic evolution happens when you develop, scale, and grow your business with intention and purpose.
To make a strategic evolution that aligns with you and your business—you choose the strategies and processes that will make the biggest impact in your business, with the greatest ease for your life.
Let me give you an example. Last week I was talking to a potential client, discussing building out an online program and the marketing process/sales funnels she’d need to support it. And as we were talking through the overall plan and strategy, she surprised me by saying, “I don’t want to launch my program. I hate the stress, the timelines, and it honestly doesn’t feel like me.”
As she said this, I did a little happy dance in my chair. Why? Because she had enough confidence as the owner and CEO of her business and her life to express what did not feel right. She had enough self-awareness and brand awareness to know an elaborate launch plan where you open and closed your offer time after time was not for her. She had evolved enough as a person to understand what strategy would work for her and her business.
She already knew there is no right way to launch your business, service, program, or course. We are all different. Our businesses are unique, and therefore the way we show up should be authentic and unique as well. What’s right for Bobby Sue’s business may not be right for your business. You need to take into account your strengths, your personal evolution, and what your version of success is to create the biggest impact. You need to stop looking for the RIGHT way to launch and CREATE your way to launch to bring the greatest amount of ease.
My own personal evolution has led me to increased confidence in the value I provide for my clients and a better understanding of their needs. I’ve worked hard to improve my money mindset, transitioning from wanting to give everything away for free… to understanding that there is an exchange of energy that happens when a client pays me. If I don’t charge clients for the value I am providing them; then I’ll feel that inequality and chances are, I won’t show up to the best of my ability.
Similarly, if clients invested financially in working with me, I’ve discovered that they won’t be as invested energetically in our work. This means they won’t show up at their highest level.
Once I fully understood this, I was able to make strategic choices in my business to solidify pricing, so it is right for my services. I even created new offers that reflect this pricing, and I am confident they can fill the needs of my clients.
What I’ve learned, witnessed, and experienced first-hand is that when you combine the growth and self-awareness that comes from a natural evolution with the plans and strategy, you need to grow your business—you create a 100% authentic business and brand that works for you! This is how you build a successful business and a thriving life.
